ChesterFest in Chester, VA on September 2, 2025

While the rain deterred a number of potential book lovers, and I completely understand not wanting to carry a book around in the pouring rain, it was a fun event at ChesterFest 2025 this year!  Shout out to my friend, Nikki, for sticking in the rain, getting drenched, and helping me tear down my setup in the monsoon we experienced!  Thanks for all those who stopped by and braved the weather!

Author Visit at Westminster Canterbury Child Development Center, Richmond, VA on June 27, 2025

So grateful to experience the joy of reading my book, Tina and the Mysterious Case of Dance-itis, to the Pre-K class at the Westminster Canterbury Child Development Center in Richmond, VA!  I handed out affirmations to each child, and the teachers stated each one the kids randomly selected were perfect for each kid! They had just talked about affirmations that week, so it was serendipitous timing.

ChildSavers Play, Move, Learn CDS Conference on Apr 26, 2025

A heartfelt thank you to ChildSavers for the opportunity to join the Play, Move, Learn CDS educators conference as a vendor! It was an honor to meet all the amazing people who have such an incredible influence and impact on children.Huge thank you to my mom for joining me!!!

I’m also deeply honored and incredibly grateful for the generosity and kindness shown by a fellow author I had the pleasure of meeting yesterday at the ChildSavers conference. Blair Cousins, @Blair_everywhere 📚 —an accomplished sci-fi, fantasy, and horror writer—not only purchased *four* of my books, but also donated them to another amazing nonprofit, Ella’s Way!

Two copies of “Jude’s Best Worst Day Ever” and two of “Tina and the Mysterious Case of Dance-itis” will soon find their way into the hands of children through donation packages. I’m so thankful to Blair—not just for the purchase and donation, but also for the meaningful conversation and valuable guidance from a more seasoned author.

Thank you, Blair, for your support, encouragement, and generosity!

Trinity UMC Spring Fling Event on April 12, 2025

What a wonderful experience!  Thank you to everyone who stopped by or took a gander at my table and "Jude's Best Worst Day Ever" during Trinity United Methodist Church's Spring Fling event.  I had the honor of chatting up a couple of young fellow enthusiasts who shared their excitement for stories and books!  It's an honor and a blessing to have the opportunity to positively impact children and their families.

From the event this evening, I experienced the highest honor as an author. A young girl, Everly, visited my table to chat about my books and experience as an author. She previously heard me read Tina and the Mysterious Case of Dance-itis aloud about a month before. Everly was inspired to go home after the Spring Fling event and not only write but also illustrate her own book, which she shared with me the next morning!  Thank you, Everly, for blessing me with this honor and for inspiring me in return!
